While I firmly believe that after reading my original review, this shop was not pleased by the 1 star rating, and decided to make my husband sit for a few days as retribution. Once I went back on, updated my review to say I would "update my more if they ever finished the job", all of a sudden we have guys, doing nice things. Yes, I gave stars for their behaviors, but they still lose one for the original garbage they did.
I'm the drive of the truck I gave you a one due to the fact that although a good story that you have told let me say this
They are also not going to refund yesterday's money, but going to charge AGAIN for this alleged 'new' work.
They were told that he needed a new DPF filter, they chose to ignore hubby since 'he's just a truck driver'. So now he is sitting for another day, and they are claiming they have no idea when he will be fixed.
I sat for 9 days but did have a awesome time at Super 8 by the way "Sammy" and staff are very nice ppl.
Been here for two days.
Harmon Truck Service has always been honest polite and helpful. I am happy with your service.
As for recommending this shop, NO, I wouldn't. I still personally feel they are shady in their original work, and again in how they dealt with a negative review. Word to the wise... Wait to review until AFTER you know you are leaving their parking lot.
AFTER WRITING MY REVIEW I SEE JASON MADE COMMENTS, TO WHAT HE SAID:
When you charge a company for something you fixed, but you never actually fixed it, then when you are advised it's still broken, you tell a long time driver, "oh it could take over 4 hours to regen". Hubby waited over 8 hours, went into your shop immediately the next morning, and rather than speak to him, you brushed him off. Blaming the company for your bad behavior and service proves my points perfectly, along with giving yourself a 5* review to increase your ratings.
Hubby finally got out of there 09/02/16 after 8PM their time, when they said he could pick the truck up after 5PM their time.
Hubby still broke down, we are on day ten now. I will update more if they ever finish the job.
So what I know now I'd go to a dealer.
If you do go to this shop pls ask for Will he is a good tech
The tech says it must be a really dirty DPF filter and that a regen could last up to if not more than 4 hour as I stated the truck bin through a day before also.
Also told " my break down " department in the future take this shop OFF the preferred list also I would like to say a BIG thank you to my dispatcher for lighting a fire under them to get my trk fixed. Mind you total was $13115.99
After what was a 12 day debacle for my husband and I, I have changed my rating to 3* and I will tell you why.
But as soon as I got back to my truck "mind you I NEVER LEFT" your parking lot I had a " regen required" on my dash same problem that was paid in full for. I did go in to let the front desk know of the problem came back.
They said they had the problem fixed yesterday, however as soon as they were finished and the truck started, hubby sat in a truck that STILL wanted to regen for over 8hrs!
Yes Will the tech cleared the code and changed/fixed wires and yes you charged $537.69 for it.
This is NOT a truck shop that cares about anything but ripping people and companies off!
I also want to note, that I stated they probably wouldn't refund the original money that was paid, they DID, and re-billed the entire job. Normally this would have prompted another star, my reason for NOT giving that 4th star is s follows:
+1* for Jason, who made sure that hubby was kept up to date on the progress of his truck and the parts that they ordered. Jason explained that UPS didn't bring the elbow that was ordered on a Friday, and that was causing another days delay.
I'm going to start here: After writing my original 1* review, someone from this company asked my husband if he knew me, when he said yes, they replied that I wrote a negative review. Once hubby asked "A review on what?", they disconnected the phone without reply. He wanted to know if the review was on YELP was all. With that said...
Here is an *UPDATE*
Hi I'm from Los Angeles, CA and I know there is plenty of mechanics there but I could never find that right place I felt comfortable at, so about a year ago my truck broke down in sullivan, MO at the flying j and had someone tell me that there is a Harmon truck repair shop about a mile away so I took my truck there and they fixed it no problem. Not only that they are great at what they do but there prices are more then reasonable . I all ways stop by Harmon Truck servics when my truck is giving me problems wether it's where and tear or mechanical. It doesn't matter they are the best at what they do I never have a problem going in and out. It never takes long and they are fast it's a great atmosphere in there everyone is nice, frendly and positive.
FOLKS THAT IS THE TYPE OF COMPANY HE IS!!!
Great job working on my truck...5 stars!!
******This started on 08/23/16, at 6am their time... hubby got out of there 09/02/16 AFTER 8PM... not sure how that makes 7 days for this "Jason", obviously he can't count days. Also, I never said I was the paying customer, I said they didn't care about companies or drivers. Still holds true, obviously.
Don't worry Jason, you are keeping the 3* rating. But you don't deserve it.*****
+1* added for a mechanic, we believe his name is Will, who made sure that the truck was 100% fixed before letting my husband leave this time, even if it was 3 hours after they said it would be ready.
